Haltech is an Australian company that makes standalone ECUs used to fully control an engine’s fuel, ignition, boost, and other parameters for performance tuning.

It’s commonly used in race cars and modified builds where the factory ECU is too limited or too restrictive. They are also the first to pioneer the VCU or Vehicle Control Unit which is a stand alone ECU along with a PDM or Power distribution module which allows the users to access data on a single software making diagnostics much quicker and easier.
